Steps I can take to learn how to make jewelry/become a jeweler.?
I am already a professional working 40 hours a week. I have always had a passion about making jewelry and learning about gemstones. For some time now, I have wanted to learn how to professionally make jewelry. I have sold beaded pieces and have taught myself how to wire wrap jewelry. I would love to take my craft to the next level, but don't know how to. I live in Sonoma county, CA and would like to find a way to learn about casting, and more metal work. Any good classes or schools in the area? What would be a reasonable step to take due to my current location and time constrictions. Any suggestions?
I've seen some books about this in the library that might be able to help you.
