Need halloween craft activity for first graders?
Today I was asked at the spur of the moment to plan my daughter's first grade halloween party this friday. I have some games in mind and would like to have some sort of craft activity as well. The thing is I don't want it to be anything that will take forever or is too terribly messy.
It would be great if it could double as a take home favor too. I was thinking maybe something like those foam door knob hangars you decorate or something. Normally I like to make it something more homemade but I've got little time here so I'm just trying to come up with something!
You could have them make ghosts with tissue paper. Give them each several sheets of tissue paper. Wad up the center of the paper and tie it off with a piece of ribbon.
The could make leaf rubbings. It's not quite halloween, but it is fall, so it's close.
One of my sisters made a spider one time. Give each student a paper plate. Have them paint it black. Add google eyes. Give each of them 8 paper strips. Have them accordion fold the strips and add them on as legs.
